1934 – kicking it off with a B

1934: That’s my number on the list of bloggers signed up for the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge 2012.   The challenge kicked off yesterday so A has gone by the wayside and  I’m launching my challenge on day two with B.

“B”  for burgeoning blogger who belatedly bumbled into the Blogging from A to Z Challenge but believes she can better the blogosphere with her brilliantly begotten blogs. Boy, what a battle to beget a bundle of “b“s.  I’m bushed.

The challenge throws down the blog a day gauntlet.  Here is a recap of the rules from the Blogging from A to Z blogpage:

“Can you post every day except Sundays during this month?  And to up the bar, can you blog thematically from A to Z?

Most of the time if you subtract Sundays from April, you then have 26 days–one day for each letter of the alphabet.  When April 1st lands on a Sunday you begin on that day which will be the only Sunday you would post during that month’s challenge.

Using this premise, you would start beginning April First with a topic themed on something with the letterA, then on April second another topic with the letter B as the theme, and so on until you finish on April thirtieth with the theme based on the letter Z.  It doesn’t even have to be a word–it can be a proper noun, the letter used as a symbol, or the letter itself.  The theme of the day is the letter scheduled for that day.”

And below is the challenge schedule:

Join the fun – what could be better than a billion bloggers blabbing into the blogosphere?

    • Hi ~ thanks for coming by! What’s the link to your blog? Would love to check it out!

    • Hi Doreen~
Nice to meet you too! Thanks – it’s my first year doing the challenge – great way to keep on track with daily blogs.

  1. Boy, oh Boy, oh Boy!! ;-p Well, you took all the other good ‘B’ words right out of my mouth!

Welcome to the A-Z blog-hop – nice to meet you!

1,936 blogs will take some time to get round – so I decided to start from the bottom as well as the top!

I wonder what you have lined up for ‘C’……..?

    • Hi Sue~

Thanks for coming to visit! I wanted to reply with a cascade of clever C words, for day three but haven’t had any coffee yet, so clearly that will have to come later 😉

Thanks for the welcome! Nice to meet you too! Can’t wait to see what everyone is doing with this challenge. I ran the numbers – will need to visit 84 blogs a day to see everyone on the list during the challenge. Will def. need more coffee! LOL!

  2. Hello,

What a wonderful post! I found you on the A to Z Challenge, and I will definitely be back to read more of your lovely writing!! Keep up the great work.

Stop over at my site too if you get a chance. 🙂 I write humor stuff (or sometimes serious stuff that people laugh at? Does that make it humor then?).

    • Thanks – for both the visit and the compliment =)
I’ll be heading over to your place today. If you can’t laugh when it’s completely inappropriate, what can you laugh at?

    • Hi Matthew ~
Thanks very much! It’s nice to meet you too. Great challenge you’ve all put together. I’m looking forward to spending the month with you =)

  3. Well, welcome! I really like your blog and how you write. I’m your newest follower, and hope that you’ll stop by to see me when you get the chance.
